Registrar's Office Checklist of Dates for May 2019 Graduation
If you are a prospective graduate and have not been receiving e-mails concerning graduation, please notify Alicia Shope, email@example.com. Reminders of the dates and deadlines presented here will be sent through e-mail.
|April 2||Commencement Celebration: Cap & Gown Day for May Commencement from 10 am-5 pm, in the Highsmith Grotto. Drop-in event at which you'll pick-up your cap and gown (free of charge), purchase announcements and/or class rings and verify name pronunciation.|
|April 2||Grade changes for Incomplete (I) grades from Fall are due from the faculty. If this pertains to you, please remind your instructors to submit any required grade changes to the Registrar's Office by 5 p.m. on April 2. Be sure to submit your remaining work in time for instructors to grade the assignments before the deadline.|
|May 1||Demonstration of Competency (Comps) results due in Registrar's Office from department chairs. Registrar's Office will request this information from the departments.|
|May 9||Final grades due by 10 a.m. for graduating seniors|
|May 10||Rehearsal Breakfast in the Student Recreation Center at 8:30 a.m., followed by a required rehearsal for students participating in commencement. Graduates should make the necessary arrangements to attend.|
|May 11||Commencement at 9 a.m. on the Quad. Tickets are not required. A photograph of each graduate will be taken as their diploma is presented. The photographer will send information about ordering copies a few weeks after commencement. In the event of severe inclement weather, commencement will be moved to Kimmel Arena and each graduate will receive 5 tickets to share with friends and family.|
If you do not plan to participate in commencement, you must notify Alicia Shope by April 26.
