Checklist of Dates for May 2024 Graduation
April 2
Grade changes for Incomplete (I) grades from Fall are due from the faculty by 5 p.m. If this pertains to you, please remind your instructors to submit any required grade changes to the Registrar’s Office by the deadline. Be sure to submit your remaining work to the instructor in time for them to grade the assignments before the deadline.
April 11
Cap & Gown Day for May Commencement (10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Student Life Porch in Highsmith). This is a drop-in event at which you’ll pick-up your cap and gown (free of charge), purchase announcements and/or class rings, and verify name pronunciation.
May 1
Demonstration of Competency (Comps) results due in Registrar’s Office from department chairs. The Registrar’s Office will request this information from the departments.
May 9
Final grades for graduating seniors are due by 10 a.m.
May 11
Commencement – 10 a.m. on the Quad. The rain location is Kimmel Arena in the Wilma M. Sherrill Center.
Tickets won’t be needed on the Quad, but if we have to move indoors, each graduate will receive 7 tickets to share with family and friends. Everyone entering the arena will need to have a ticket.
